Dr Bleetman has over 28 years as a Consultant in Emergency Medicine. He has extensive experience in trauma care, as a Consultant Trauma Team Leader at St.Mary’s Hospital Major Trauma Centre for 3 years and 12 years of service with Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS), including a 3-year period as Clinical Director of Midlands Air Ambulance.
He was awarded The Queen’s Golden and Diamond Jubilee Medals for his work in Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine.
Dr Bleetman is Associate Clinical Professor at Warwick Medical School. He is an Honorary Senior Lecturer in the Centre for Neuroscience, Surgery and Trauma, Blizard Institute (Queen Mary University London).
He has published extensively and has an active research portfolio. He currently serves as a medical advisor to the Ministry of Defence and works both in NHS Emergency Departments and as an Attending Emergency Physician in the Middle East.

Dr Ben Bloom has been a Consultant in Emergency Medicine for 10 years. He graduated has been from St. Andrew’s & Manchester Universities.
He is a Consultant in Emergency Medicine at The Royal London Hospital. His clinical interests include major trauma, cardiovascular, musculoskeletal and infectious emergencies.
Dr Bloom is a Senior Lecturer in Emergency Medicine at Queen Mary, University of London and a Clinical Lead at NHS England for Integrated Urgent and Emergency Care. His PhD is on Traumatic Brain Injury, and his research interests include population health and health informatics.
He is a module lead for the Masters in Emergency and Resuscitation Medicine at QMUL, presenting ‘Fundamentals of Research’.

Dr Derek Hicks has been a Consultant in Emergency Medicine for 15 years. He graduated from Guy’s & St. Thomas’s Hospitals, London. He is a Consultant in Emergency Medicine at The Royal London Hospital. His clinical interests include major trauma, telemedicine and resuscitation.
Dr Hicks has 10 years of experience in Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine, working with HEMS teams in Kent Surrey & Sussex and Essex & Herts. He has worked as Clinical Lead and Clinical Director in North East London Emergency Departments and was Network Director for North East London and Essex Trauma Network for 8 years.
He is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Queen Mary, University of London and has an active portfolio of research presented at National and International level focussed on trauma care. His team won the ‘Evidence into Practice Award’ at the International Conference for Emergency Medicine 2024, in Taipei. He is a Royal College of Pathologists Medical Examiner and contributes to clinical governance, patient safety and human factors in healthcare.

Dr Anpananthar has been a Consultant in Emergency Medicine since 2016. She graduated from University College London.
She works as Consultant in Paediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) at Whipps Cross University Hospital, Barts Health NHS Trust to provide seamless care for sick children between community, secondary and tertiary care.
Amutha is a Lead for Medical Simulation Education and has experience as Training Programme Director for the London School of Paediatrics. She is Medical Director and an Instructor for Advanced Paediatrics Life Support Courses.
Dr Anpananthar is site lead and Trust Principal Investigator for clinical research in Paediatric Emergency Medicine.
